The Goal of Aspire Entertainment Network is to....

...Use new media to channel into music, visual arts and events throughout the Black community then promoting the exposure of this art alongside local businesses.  Today's digital technologies offer a chance to present an exciting true representation of the culture and businesses in these communities.  Aspire connects the long-tail across new media helping associated merchants sell product while presenting entertainment produced by the community.

Although a prototype of XtraMedium capabilities, Aspire offers communities the reflection that will arrest the attention of youth and the community through more positive imagery and context, with the digital flexibility of new media. Most important we provide a foundation which:

1.  Enables cross marketing of merchants between real and digital worlds

2.  Exposes “neighborhood” brands across digital media assets and live programs

3.  Cobrands “best of” and competitive programming on internet and on location

4.  Creates co-brand series programming “in the hood” for distribution via social networks

5.  Provides open access to XtraMedium media assets and consumer base

6.  Effectively utilizes composite application programming for community development

In modeling Aspire, we considered the New Jersey Center for Performing Arts (NJCPA), in Newark, N.J., which turned a $1.1 million profit during its first year in operation in 1999. Event programming generated earnings of $10 million in the first year they opened and NJCPA has maintained that level since.  Our addition of a native new media component  will accelerate the revenue potential. As with NJCPA, each community project is initiated by building networks of advisory committees in both corporate, social, and municipal sectors of each target area.
